Every price, published
Almost no dental practice publishes fees, which is why nobody trusts the answer when they ring up and ask. Here is the whole list. Where a range is shown it is because the work genuinely varies, and you get the exact figure in writing before anything is booked.
Check-ups and looking
3 treatments
Nothing is done to you at any of these. They exist to find out what is going on and to tell you what it costs.
| Treatment | Fee |
|---|---|
| Check-up, new patient A full look at every tooth, your gums, your bite and the soft tissue in your mouth, plus a written plan with prices. 30 minutes | £58 |
| Check-up, returning patient The same examination, shorter, because we already have your history and your previous X-rays to compare against. 20 minutes | £42 |
| X-ray Small films show decay between the back teeth. A panoramic image shows the whole jaw, the roots and the wisdom teeth in one pass. 5 minutes | £18 small · £85 panoramic |
Gums
2 treatments
Gum disease is the most common reason adults lose teeth, and it is painless until it is late. This is the part people skip.
| Treatment | Fee |
|---|---|
| Hygienist appointment Removal of hardened plaque above and just below the gumline, then a polish. Most people need this every six to twelve months. 30 minutes | £68 |
| Deep clean, per quadrant Cleaning below the gumline where a pocket has formed, done one quarter of the mouth at a time so you are never numb all over. 45 minutes | £95 – £140 |
Repairs
4 treatments
Keeping a tooth you already have. Almost always cheaper and better than replacing it later.
| Treatment | Fee |
|---|---|
| White filling Decay removed and replaced with tooth-coloured composite, shaped and hardened with a blue light. One visit. 30 – 50 minutes | £140 – £260 |
| Root canal, front tooth The infected nerve is removed, the canal cleaned and sealed, and the access hole filled. It saves a tooth that would otherwise come out. 60 – 90 minutes | £380 – £480 |
| Root canal, back tooth The same treatment on a molar, which has three or four canals instead of one and often needs a crown afterwards to stop it splitting. 90 – 120 minutes | £620 – £850 |
| Crown A tooth too broken down to fill is reshaped and covered with a porcelain or ceramic cap made to match the teeth beside it. Two visits | £650 – £950 |
Removals
2 treatments
When a tooth cannot be saved. We will tell you plainly when that is the case, including when someone else has quoted you to save it.
| Treatment | Fee |
|---|---|
| Tooth removal, simple A tooth that is loose, split or beyond saving is lifted out whole. Usually quicker than the filling you were hoping for instead. 30 minutes | £180 – £260 |
| Tooth removal, surgical For a tooth that is broken at the gumline or lying sideways, such as a wisdom tooth. The gum is lifted and stitched back afterwards. 45 – 60 minutes | £320 – £450 |

Paying
How people actually pay for this
A £700 crown is a lot of money. Pretending otherwise is how practices lose people at the treatment-plan stage, so here is exactly how it works.
- Card, cash or bank transfer
- Paid on the day. We do not take a deposit for a check-up.
- Anything over £400
- Three months, interest-free, arranged at the desk. No credit check, no paperwork to take home.
- Longer plans
- Through a finance company. We show you the total cost including interest before you sign anything, and we will tell you if paying in three goes is cheaper.
- If the plan is more than you expected
- Say so. Almost every plan has an order it can be done in, and spreading it over two years is a normal way to do it.
We are private, not NHS
So these are the fees, not a band. If you need an NHS dentist, ring 111 and they will tell you who is taking patients — that is a genuine answer and we would rather give it than take money from someone who should not be spending it.
The price does not move
A written plan is valid for twelve months at the price on it. If we find something else once we are in, we stop and tell you what it changes before carrying on. Nobody gets a bill they have not already seen.
